Standardized Form
Fully Reacted Magnesium Bisglycinate

Magnesium glycinate is formed by combining elemental magnesium with the amino acid glycine. Glycine acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain, promoting relaxation. Because this chelated bond survives stomach acid and is absorbed through dipeptide channels in the intestines, it effectively bypasses the osmotic laxative effect common to other magnesium salts. It is the gold standard for neurological and muscular support.

Clinical Summary

Clinically validated for improving sleep quality, reducing symptoms of generalized anxiety, and alleviating nocturnal leg cramps.

Dosage Guidelines

200mg to 400mg of elemental magnesium daily, typically taken in the evening.

Safety & Side Effects

Exceptionally well tolerated. Rarely causes gastrointestinal distress compared to oxide or citrate forms.

Known Interactions

Can bind to certain antibiotics (tetracyclines, quinolones) in the gut, reducing their absorption.
